Presentation Night at the The Bhujon.
The Harriers Cross Country season and Clubs Winter Handicap Leagues Presentation Night at the The Bhujon, Coalville.
Well what a great night, once again the harriers celebrated in style with loads of wine, Kingfisher and too much Indian food followed by the presentation of the medals.
We have, this season won the Men's Division 2 title and the Mixed Team title of the Derby Runner X-Country Leagues. We received a rather nice, large, silver cup for the Men's teams, and large shield for the Mixed League which were presented at the Relays about three or four weeks ago. But the individuals don't get medals etc. So as a club we thought it would be nice to hand out some medals of our own to all those who had participated in the teams at the various races and it went down really well.
To follow it we presented the Club Winter Handicap awards. Dawn Waters picked up the gold medal for league two having had a really good winter season and improving race by race. She pushed an improving Mick Clarke into second and even more improving Mark Bradford into Bronze medal position. All three now find themselves promoted to Division one for the next season.
Division One was an even closer run thing with three people separated by only 4 points for the title. Third spot went to Jason, only 2 points behind Andy Buck in Silver medal spot and for the second season in a row Dean Kelleher picked up the Gold.
