Emma and Adam Take To Training Abroad
Sunday 27th April 2008 saw two Harriers representing the club in a 10k event held in St.Esteve, near Perpignan, South of France. Adam and Emma had been taking part in a cycling ( Adam ) and running ( Emma ) training camp with ex Great Britain cyclist and duathlete and currently cycling advisor to the GB triathlon squad - Mark McKay.
As part of Emma's training programme for the week she had been entered into the 10k event and Adam took a break from the cycling to pace Emma around the course, which she completed in a PB time of 55 minutes and 25 seconds and Adam came in one place behind in 55 minutes and 30 seconds.
Finishers all received a bottle of the local plonk and a very fetching piece of artwork.
