Mid Week Victories For John And Gemma
Just to show that the Harriers dont only race at the weekends both John and Gemma were busy in the week and both took 1st place in their races.
Firstly, John running with his Westbury Harrier cap on this time and only 24 hours after the West End 8 'Blazed Away' from the opposition in the Blaise Blazer a 4 mile fell race which incorporates the biggest hills around Blaise Castle.
John took 1st place in 23.47 nearly 1 minute ahead of the second man home.
Slightly nearer to home Gemma was running in the 2008 East Midland Road Running Grand Prix Series at Weedon in Northamptonshire. She also, showed no ill-effects from her Sunday race where she gained second place at the Coventry Northbrook 10km.
Gemma currently is in great form and once again ran to a fine victory to finish clear of Huncotes British Masters international and seven-time reigning series champion Nicki Nealon.
Gemma clocked 37:25 for the 10K course with Nicki runner-up by a margin of 17 seconds in 37:42.
