Gemma Wins At Banbury 5
GEMMA STEEL once again produced a great performance in the East Midlands Road Running League Grand Prix at the Banbury 5 where she outpaced Milton Keynes Imogen Thornburgh to secure her second consecutive victory of the series.
Following on from her fine performance at the Weedon 10k last week, Gemma raced to victory in a new personal best time of 28.59 well ahead of Milton Keynes Imogen Thornburgh 29:21 and the current series leader and seven-times defending champion Nicki Nealon.
There are now two races remaining in the eight-race series beginning with the Harborough 5 mile (17th June) and the Milton Keynes 10km on July 1st.
